"Crisis and Consequence," a conference by Hagley's Center for the History of Business, Technology and Society, will include presentations that explore the long-term consequences of panics, depression, financial contractions and other episodes in which the American economy dramatically decline. The free conference runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 5, with the keynote address the evening before.
