Nearly everyday, a manager or supervisor is likely to face a range of problems that need solving. How quickly and effectively problems are solved can influence the performance of the work unit. Problems range in complexity and often conventional problem-solving cannot generate a suitable answer. Consequently creative thinking and more lateral solutions need to be considered before selecting the best direction forward. This course provides a range of techniques for creatively solving problems, which includes encouraging the participation of others in generating possibilities and in selecting the best solution. In so doing, there is greater ownership of the outcome by all stakeholders involved. Details of this event may be subject to change.
