Creative Force: the Studio Art Quilt June 10, 2012

This exhibition comprising 50 eye-popping creations was juried from a pool of 384 entries received from 179 international artists. In this selection, audiences will see achievements they never imagined possible in fiber. A range of figurative, abstract, graphic, and painterly works express many themes: social/political, travel journals, homages to nature, personal memories, and complex relationships. These artists borrow from other media without hesitation, including painting, the graphic arts, photography, collage, felting, printing, and embroidery.
