In this workshop, photographers will use photo-based media to create compelling visual narratives in the form of hand-bound artist books. Participants will learn the alternative photography processes of Van Dyke Brown and Cyanotype to use in combination with various book structures including a one page fold book, pamphlet sewing, accordion, and Japanese stab binding.
In learning these structures, students will understand the fundamental techniques necessary to create their own artist books. Instructor will guide participants through the creative and technical processes and assist them in executing their vision. By the end of the workshop participants will have completed three artist's books.
