UNM Continuing Education invites you to make stylish decorated accessories such as hats, jewelry, handbags, shoes and more using a creative assortment of 2nd hand and recycled materials. The Eco Chic Accessories class runs from 9am-4pm on February 13, 2010. The Theme is Spring! Experiment with a flower garden of cutting, folding and stitching techniques for decoration. Embellish with a variety of re-purposing found objects to make beads and trims. Save, gather and swap colorful items for lots of fun and creative excitement. Hand or machine stitch. To prepare-go to yardsales and second hand stores or just go through your stuff- look for items to decorate and for colorful fabrics, plastics and things you don’t mind cutting up, old junk jewelry, small children’s toys etc. Tuition is $65 and a $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.
