The Pittsburgh Craft Collective (PCC) makes its homespun debut as a creative community force Saturday September 5th, 2009. The event, “Crafts N’At” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Union Project, in Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood. Crafts N’At showcases over 50 local artists, craftsmen, food, local acoustic musicians and is a fundraiser for [gravity + grace], a contemporary opera about living with Parkinson’s disease.
Hoping to draw awareness to those living with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease, the PCC partnered with Frank Ferraro, the creator of [gravity + grace] to plan a full day of events; witness live craft demonstrations, try your hand at something new at the Make-N-Take table, buy homemade BBQ sponsored by the Union Project Eat Up Café or try your luck in the silent auction and “Pick-A-Prize” auction.
Auction proceeds will go directly to the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. The highlight of the auction is an authentic signed Steelers football, Alice Cooper rock memorabilia. Donations include goodies from Crafts N’At vendors as well as a plethora of goods from local businesses and organizations.
Crafts N’At is sure to be a party you’ll be proud to play at!
