Does the thought of developing the perfect “Elevator Speech” cause you to wake up in cold sweats? Do you have that “deer in the headlights” look when someone says “Tell me about yourself?” Does your resume and cover letter put the reader to sleep? (Yes it does. Admit it)
“Crafting a Powerful Message” will help you overcome these obstacles and more, which could be causing your job search to be unsuccessful. This interactive workshop will walk you through understanding:
• What makes a powerful message
• How to develop a powerful message
• Most importantly, how to deliver a powerful message.
Tom Nosal is an award winning speaker who brings real life experiences and a little levity to every presentation. He has delivered presentations to several area community groups, industry conferences, and was the 2009 winner of Toastmaster’s Humorous Speech Contest.
Tom will draw on his experience as a hiring manager, business owner, networker and communications coach to show you a better and more powerful way to communicate and market yourself to employers, recruiters and at networking events.
If you are new to networking, come at 6:30 pm for an introduction to networking tools like the Handbill and the Elevator Speech. At 7:00 pm, our program featuring Tom Nosal will start. Later, you can work one-on-one with our coaches to improve your resume, to practice interviewing skills or expand your network. Bring copies of your handbill or resume.
We help job seekers succeed. There is no cost to attend, pre-registration is not required, and everyone is welcome. Our members represent all ages, work backgrounds and future desires. Dress is casual.
