This two-day conference on postwar art looks at moments at which the idea of craft became particularly important. Participants focus on the interchanges between artists and craftspeople, examining Los Angeles in the 1950s and 1960s, feminism, the pastoral impulse in late-1960s and early-1970s arts and crafts, and the abject art of the early 1990s.
