Kitty Rose, Starlene, Axton Kincaid, Burning Embers
Four Year Bender and 77 El Deora
BIG Labor Day show featuring the finest in female-fronted country. Oh yea, Oh yea!
Opening this year is the ever feline-floral Kitty Rose playing solo, followed by newcomers Starlene, featuring 3/4 of the old Calamity & Main (The New Misisipi Mike Wolf, Maurice Tani, Christopher Fisher) line-up backing a wonderful country singer, Catherine Foreman. Then the boozy musical mayhem of Axton Kincaid ("Who's gonna pour my whiskey when you're gone, gone, gone?" -now that's country!).
Next is Burning Embers (Banjo basher Eric Embry, fiddlista Katie Rexford and company explore the murky gray area between honky tonk and bluegrass) and 4 Year Bender (actually not female-fronted but singer-songgrinder Ryan Smith certainly has the finest female rhythm section in the area –solid!).
Finally, 77 El Deora headlining this year. That means a big, rockin' set!
