Cowgirl Basketball vs. Arkansas Pine Bluff December 20, 2008

The McNeese State Athletic Department and the Women's Basketball team have partnered with Jeff Davis Bank to host a "Toys for Tots" toy drive.

On December 20 the Cowgirls will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 1 p.m. at Burton Coliseum for the “Toys for Tots” game. Anyone bringing a toy to the game will receive free admission. The athletics department will deliver the toys to the Marine Corps for distribution.

“Every year our team has a Christmas party where the players give toys to each other to be donated to Toys for Tots. This year, through our partnership with Jeff Davis Bank, we hope to take that tradition and make it even bigger,” said head coach Brooks-Donald Williams.

Santa Claus will be at the game and available to hear your child's Christmas wishes and take pictures. Fans are encouraged to bring their own cameras.

The athletics department is also distributing vouchers to anyone who cannot make the game but still wishes to donate. Donors can drop off their toys at the Doland Field House and Jeff Davis Bank on Nelson Rd. They will receive a voucher good for entry into any future basketball game at Burton Coliseum.
