Courses - Creative Street Photography IV: Let's Put on a Show! September 21, 2012

Are you a committed street photographer who has attained a certain standard and would now like to exhibit your work in a public space? This six-week course begins with students presenting their best work to class and a discussion about image selection, post production, quality printing and display requirements. There will be three class street shoots; after each shoot students upload their work to a flickr group where it is assessed by the presenter and classmates. There is a post-production session with a top retoucher, and then students will arrange for their best images to be professionally printed. It concludes with an opening night and a one-week exhibition of work in a premium, high-traffic exhibition space at Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre, and will be one of the main focal points in the Centre's 25th Anniversary Celebrations. There will be a $250 People's Choice award for the best image, a contact list for the public to take away and press coverage in local media. Details of this event may be subject to change.
