Tony Coturri is a third generation winemaker. He uses old school winemaking traditions learned from his grandfather Enrico Coturri, and his father Harry "Red" Coturri.

Enrico Coturri immigrated to America from Farnet, Italy (outside Lucca) in 1901, and taught Harry to make wine during prohibition. Harry Coturri founded the Coturri winery in 1979.

Tony's brother Phil Coturri farms most of the grapes sourced by Coturri Winery and is considered Sonoma Valley's leading organic viticulturalist.
