Cosnotcos presents Electric Grind featuring Cholly, The El Gordo Allstars & Hardcore heroes: 2 BAD MICE (old skool set)

Cholly invites the legends of the Bombscare and children of the cult café (led by Standard Place's Jon Rust, formerly Rinse FM and Phonica Records) down to Dalston for a brand new night of electro waves, bass, rave and more. Poke your posse and come grind with us.

ABOUT ELECTRIC GRIND:

Electric Grind is a brand new event presented by Cosnotcos, a company recently set up and run by Ian “Cholly” Cholerton. Cholly has over 10 years experience running events such as Synaptic at the Marcus Garvey Centre in Nottingham. Over the course of its 5 year history, Synaptic put on the likes of Dave Clarke, CJ Bolland, Grooverider, DJ Krust, Shy FX and Adam Freeland. While his Synaptic cohorts sit comfortably in record label chairs (at Warp and Warner to be precise), Cholly is unshakable in his desire to put on discos. And so Electric Grind will take place on Friday 25th February at Visions Video Bar, the 20 year old Dalston institution that has delivered many a good night - including the much hyped 90’s reviver, Pump Up The Volume. The music policy for Electric Grind is broad but will certainly feature electro, new wave, old skool rave and bass music...

ABOUT 2 BAD MICE:

“2 Bad Mice formed in England in 1991, and was composed of Sean O'Keeffe, Simon Colebrooke, and Rob Playford, the latter the owner of the Moving Shadow record label. 2 Bad Mice were credited as among the first UK hardcore acts to begin incorporating breakbeats into their style. They were a staple on the early to mid 1990s hardcore scene, and were instrumental in the music's steady mutation into jungle/drum and bass.” Wikipedia...

ABOUT THE EL GORDO ALLSTARS:

Café El Gordo was set up in Nottingham by three men with a shared vision. They quickly got too drunk to see but were still able to give many London bass DJs their early breaks. Jon Rust (Standard Place at The Alibi, and formerly Rinse FM and Phonica Records) is piecing together a crack team to be billed as The El Gordo Allstars. Such is the legend of Café El Gordo, that there is a film currently in production based on its tale...
