International Ballet Theatre presents Coppelia,a whimsical tale of love and laughter for audiences of all ages. This comedic classical ballet features Kirov dancers Maria Makarenko and Dmitri Zavalishin in the lead roles. The exquisite sets and costumes are from Ukraine. Dr. Coppelius, a funny old toymaker dreams of making a doll so real it will come to life to keep him company. His most beautiful doll, Coppelia, catches the eye of a village lad who is betrothed to a young lady who does not take kindly to this rival. How she sets about to teach her unfaithful fiance a lesson is amusing and entertaining. Prepare to be dazzled by all the elements of this production. Four performance only: Friday, May 15 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 pm. Approximately 2 hours running time.
