'Copley to Warhol' surveys the development of American painting beginning with portraits by John Singleton Copley and Charles Wilson Peale, and charters the rise of the landscape tradition with works by George Inness, as well as Louisiana artists Richard Clague and Ellsworth Woodward. Some of the most influential American artists from twentieth century are also highlighted in this exhibit, including the works of John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, Lee Krasner and Georgia O'Keefe.
