Randwick City Council presents the COOGEE CAROLS at the Goldstein Reserve, Coogee Beach on Sunday 20 December 2009 from 6.30pm-8.30pm. This relaxed and casual event is in its eighth year and is regarded as one of Sydney’s premier Christmas festival events.
COOGEE CAROLS boast appearances by a diverse range of local celebrities and personalities who, supported by a 12 piece band, will perform the traditional and contemporary carols we all love and enjoy including a special appearance by Santa. This free community event has previously attracted thousands of local residents, families and friends willing to celebrate Christmas Coogee-style.
Previous presenters and performers have included Amanda Keller, Amber Lawrence, Bernadette Cogin, Katie Nejaim, Brendan Moar And Sophie Katinis; Andrew Mercado, Jolene Anderson; Martin Plaza, John Howard and more
COOGEE CAROLS CHOIR - this year organisers are pleased to announce a new member of the team leading Sydney jazz vocalist Lily Dior who will become the Coogee Carols Choir Master. Made up of volunteers from the Randwick municipality the Coogee Carols Choir will be on stage for the entire carols concert singing backing to many of the carols.
