Randwick City Council presents the popular local family event the COOGEE CAROLS at the Goldstein Reserve, Coogee Beach on Sunday 16 December 2007 from 6.30pm-8.30pm. This relaxed and intimate event is now in its sixth year and has become regarded as one of Sydney’s premier Christmas festival events.
COOGEE CAROLS will boast appearances by a diverse range of local celebrities and personalities who, supported by an orchestra and choir, will perform the traditional and contemporary carols we all love and enjoy. Locals will be treated with The Coogee Carols Orchestra, The Coogee Carols Choir and a special appearance by Santa. This free community event has previously attracted thousands of local residents, families and friends willing to celebrate Christmas Coogee-style.
Last year’s event featured appearances by Amanda Keller, Andrew Mercado and performances by Australian TV stars John Howard (All Saints), Brendon Moar (The Lifestyle Channel) and Simon Reeve (Sunrise). They were also joined on stage by musical theatre performers such as Lisa Adam, Caroline Casper and Bernadette Cogin.
Come and experience the incredible atmosphere and beautiful setting of the COOGEE CAROLS and dance and sing along with the talented performers and each other! All proceeds from the sale of glow sticks and glow products are donated to the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia.
