Shot during the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City, this documentary-style drama combines actual footage with narrative filmmaking to tell the story of two ideologically-polarized activists who meander into an unlikely affair amidst a political war zone. Lea is a free-wheeling liberal protestor in town to bring down the Bush administration and David is a straight-shooting republican delegate programmed to promote the party line. While examining their differences they find passion in their shared love of politics and everything they believe in will be questioned before the end.
A unique blend of reality and fiction, Mora Mi-Ok Stephens' guerrilla filmmaking puts you at ground zero during one of the most hotly contested political battlegrounds of our time, weaving through real-life demonstrations and eventually infiltrating the convention floor.
Winner of the 2006 Independent Spirit Award's John Cassavetes Award (for the Best Feature made for under $500,000)
