New York City’s top construction influencers are coming together on May 31 for a candid discussion on “Controlling Construction Costs on Your Next Project.” The seminar, which will address Project Labor Agreements (PLA) and OCIP/CCIP/Subguard risk management strategies, is being held at the Harvard Club from 8AM-10AM. As the construction industry begins its rebound from the recession and new projects are planned, it is crucially important to consider the expense management and other implications of using PLAs as well as understand the coverage available and appropriate products to minimize the risk on such projects.
The “Project Labor Agreements: Real Savings or Window Dressing?” panel will be led by moderator Michael Zetlin, founding partner of Zetlin & De Chiara LLP, and panelists will include: Jay Badame of Tishman Construction Company, Gary LaBarbera of BCTC, Ray Quartararo of Jones Lang LaSalle and James Terry of Zetlin & De Chiara.
Timothy Walker, senior vice president at Willis, will moderate the “To Insure or Not to Insure: The OCIP/CCIP/Subguard Question” panel, which will include Jay Badame, Mark Blumkin of Deloitte, Melinda Childs of Zurich North America and Shari Natovitz of Silverstein Properties.
