The focus of this class is on further developing your speaking proficiency, in addition to more work on listening, reading and writing skills. The format includes lectures, handouts, audiotapes, in-class conversation practice, mini-quizzes and some homework after each class. We also listen to Italian music, watch an Italian movie with subtitles, and enjoy a final class party. Bring a notebook, pen and the two required texts: Barron’s Learn Italian the Fast and Fun Way by Marcel Danesi, ISBN 0764125303 ($19) and Italian Verb Drills by Paola Nanni-Tate, ISBN 0071420894 ($10). Beginning Italian or previous language experience is a pre-requisite.
