Previously senior curator at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York, Lydia Yee is currently a curator at the Barbican Art Gallery, London. Yee will discuss her recent project, the Martian Museum of Terrestrial Art, on show at the Barbican until 18 May. Bringing together a large number of contemporary art objects under the fictional rubric of a museum conceived by and designed for extraterrestrials, the show offers an irreverent and thought-provoking take on the way we seek to engage with and understand contemporary art.
