The Jungle Theater presents Connie in a new concert series exploring the work of songwriters Peggy Lee, Lennon and McCartney and Norman Gimbel. Connie Evingson, a jazz singer whose home is in the Minneapolis area, has toured the U.S., Europe and Japan, appeared on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion, and opened for Harry Connick, Jr., Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae and Dizzy Gillespie. Connie can swing the standards with the best of them, hold her own with a Beatles book, and sound great in a hot club/gypsy jazz setting.
