Every two years, the Naperville Garden Club presents a Standard Flower Show. This year's theme, "Connections" will feature horticulture, floral design, and special exhibits from garden club members.

The floral designs and horticulture will be judged and awarded ribbons, including "Table Artistry Award"; the coveted "Designer's Choice Award" and "Horticulture Award of Excellence".

Dates are:
• Friday, June 29, 1 - 5 p.m.
• Saturday, June 30, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Admission is free.

The purpose of a flower show is to generate interest in horticulture and floral design; to educate the club members and viewing public; and to provide club members a unique opportunity to express themselves creatively using fresh flowers and other plant materials, as well as display specimens from their garden (horticulture).

A "Standard” Flower Show is one that conforms to the extensive written guidelines of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC). It must include a Floral Design Division and a Horticulture Division. It must be judged by NGC approved judges and use the NGC Standard System of Awarding. The flower show “schedule” prepared by the club details the rules for entries in the show and establishes the flower show theme.

The Naperville Garden Club is a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. - Central Region, Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc. - District II.
