CONNECT WITH THE SPIRIT WITHIN - A Day of Workshops & Practices at the Bay Area Gnostic Center

The Days of Workshops and Practices at the Bay Area Gnostic Center are designed to give you a taste of the practices of modern Gnosis and to see what the Center is all about. Everyone is welcome to these weekly Saturday events, no prior experience required, feel free to bring a friend!

Each week, the practices are focused around a particular theme or goal. A new practice starts each hour, from 11 am to 3 pm, with a break for lunch at 1 pm. Feel free to drop in for any of the workshops or come for the entire day.

SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY FEB. 26
Here's the theme and schedule for this coming Saturday:

Goal: To Overcome Our Greatest Obstacle to Enlightenment

11am - Mantras & Mindfulness

We will start the day with spiritually uplifting mantras, and begin to look within using a sit-down mindfulness practice.

12pm - Awareness & Self-Observation

Learning to be in the moment and observe the reality of our psychology is fundamental to awakening. In this session we will explore how to observe in a natural, insightful way.

1pm - Lunch in the Gnostic Cafe

Enjoy fresh homemade soup, salad, bread and other light refreshments for reasonable donations. See how much better the food tastes while actively perceiving every subtle flavor and aroma!

2pm - Awareness & Retrospection

Building on the practice of awareness, we will exercise our often under-utilized ability to recall situations of the past, in order to gain objectivity of how we actually are.

3pm - Analysis of an Ego

The practices of the day will have prepared us to identify our greatest obstacle within. With this final practice we will aim for profound knowledge of that obstacle and how we can overcome it.
