McNeal is the author of “The Present Future; Six Tough Questions for the Church” and “Practicing Greatness: Seven Disciplines of Extraordinary Spiritual Leaders”. He currently serves as the Missional Leadership Specialist for Leadership Network.

McNeal has spoken all over the country challenging church leaders to change their old perceptions about how to do church and spread the gospel in the 21st Century: replacing church growth with a wider vision of kingdom growth, developing disciples instead of church members, and focusing on spiritual formation. He urges churches to reject a "club" mentality, only focusing on the needs of the congregation, and in its place adopt a more missional focus outward into the community.

The workshop is free. Donations will be accepted for lunch on Friday, and snacks and beverages on Saturday (no lunch served Saturday). “The Present Future” will be available for purchase at cost.
