Concert of Russian, Ukrainian and World String Music May 4, 2013

The Atlanta Balalaika Society will present a concert of Russian, Ukrainian and world string music on Saturday, May 4 at 8:15pm at Spivey Hall, Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Blvd., Morrow, GA 30260.
The concert will feature soprano Martha Hollier, a lead soloist with the Bolshoi Opera for twenty years, and 9 String Theory, the string virtuosi Angelina Galashenkova-Reed and John Huston, performing duets from Italy, Romania, Argentina and Spain on domra and classical guitar. The Atlanta Balalaika Society orchestra will perform with soloists David C. Cooper, balalaika, Angelina Galashenkova-Reed, domra and Alla Melnik, bayan. The evening’s performance will be conducted by David C. Cooper.
