3rd Annual Seattle Slack Key Festival

The 3rd Annual Seattle Slack Key Festival features a diverse range of Hawaiian slack key (ki ho`alu) masters - Cyril Pahinui, Jeff Peterson, Makana, Sonny Lim, Kawika Kahiapo and Mike Ka`awa. Additional performers include Kunia Pahinui-Galdeira (ukulele), Greg Sardinha (steel guitar) and Mark Yamanaka (guitar and falsetto). MCs Skylark Rossetti and Bruddah Gomes and local hula halau add to this fantastic line-up. Hawaiian Tropical Flowers and Prize drawings.

Town Hall is a small boutique theater so all of the seats are good though limited. Purchase your tickets early!

Doors open at 1:00 pm, concert from 2:00-6:00 pm

WORKSHOPS - Saturday, November 12, 2011

Learn to play the sweet and soulful guitar sounds of Hawaii.

Workshop sessions in slack key guitar, ukulele and steel guitar will be held on November 12 at Dusty Strings Music School - $40 a session. Students must bring their own guitar or ukulele.
