For 15 years, Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, Complexionsâ co-artistic directors, have created challenging, thought-provoking, entertaining and accessible work. The companyâs diverse and intense physical style takes center stage at The Joyce in three different programs featuring audience favorites such as Rise and Mercy as well as six New York premieres, including a new company work set to a sweeping Rachmaninoff score; an all-female work set to the hit classic song âAmerican Pie;â and a solo for Richardson.
