Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA) presents:
Competing Against the Big Guys: How Smaller Firms Win Big Business
Wed, Feb 9, 6:00pm-8:30pm, Santa Clara
MORE INFO: http://www.svama.org/events/020905.asp
This interactive program will provide practical and helpful examples of once small companies (Intuit and Crimson Consulting) that have succeeded by competing with larger companies in various market niches. Participants in the panel include Glen Gow, Managing Partner of Crimson Consulting and Eric Dunn, formerly of Intuit and now General Partner at Cardinal Venture Capital. Jennifer Vessels, Founder of NextStep, was selected as the moderator based on her own company’s success in competing with larger consulting firms as well as her work in helping small company clients grow in their own markets. Jennifer's firm, Next Step, has worked with companies including Cisco Systems; Handspring; Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosatti; Synopsys and Alan Pinel Realtors.
"Relevant topics and expert speakers like Jennifer Vessels, Glenn Gow and Eric Dunn exemplify the quality of programming that our members enjoy each month at Silicon Valley American Marketing Association events," according to SVAMA President Michelle Graham. "Innovative companies with new products are a Valley norm - but successfully launching and marketing these companies and products, in sometimes very well established markets, is a both challenge and an opportunity for marketers. Great case studies from Crimson Consulting and Intuit will be instructive and inspiring for our members."
