More info: Professor Benyon will discuss companions technologies which are technologies that are personalised to individuals, technologies 'that know their owners'.

The aim of companion technologies are not simply utilitarian. They aim to engage people and provide enjoyable experiences for them. The attributes of such technologies will be discussed and examples presented.

David Benyon is Professor of Human-Computer Systems and director of Centre for Interaction Design at Edinburgh Napier University. He has been working in the area of human-computer interaction and interaction design for over 25 years and has written widely on the subject.
