Compagnie La Calebasse was founded by dancer-choreographer Merlin Nyakim in 2001. The company's dancers hail from Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Guinea and France and their choreography is an exciting mix of African and Afro-contemporary styles -- exuberant, earthy and joyful.
