Join us for the 20th Anniversary of Como Agua Para Chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate) by indulging in the beautiful foods featured in this award-winning film based on the best-selling novel by Laura Esquivel. This ever-popular movie for romantics and foodies, became the highest grossing Spanish-language film ever released in the United States. As part of the ¡VivaFest! Mexican Heritage and Mariachi Festival (vivafest.org), Darlene Tenes of CasaQ and Executive Chef Tiana Diggins of Adobe Lodge have put to
gether a six course dinner menu based on the 12 beautiful dishes featured in the book. You'll dine on an incredible array of courses featuring all of the fabulous foods shown in the film and book such as Quail in Rose Petal Sauce, Chiles en Nogada, Pastel Chabela de Boda, Tortas de Navidad and more mouth-watering dishes.

Guests will enjoy live traditional romantic Trio music popular during the Mexican Revolution at the Santa Clara Missions Gardens and dine at the Adobe Lodge part of the historic California Missions built in 1822, a gorgeous setting and perfect backdrop for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just note that the movie itself will not be shown, so if you want a refresher, catch it at the Tech Museum's IMAX theatre the night before or re-read the book!
