These events will run the first and second tuesday of the month from October, 2004 - January, 2005.
Round Tables are designed to provide information to parents and other interested persons about the topics listed below. Parent Talk sessions will be facilitated by a parent educator and are designed to provide an opportunity to discuss the topics from the previous Round Table.
October's Topic, October 5, and 12, 2004: The True Power of Parenting. Hear from law enforcement and helping professionals about the rights and resources available to assist you as a parent.
November's Topic, November 2 and 9, 2004: Rules & Relationships - The Balancing Act. Hear from professionals how to establish and enforce effective rules and the importance of relationships.
December's Topic, December 7 and 12, 2004: How to Love a Teenager. . .and. . .Parenting as a Life Stage. This discussion will focus on life stages and the developmental tasks that impact teens and those who parent them.
January's Topic, January 4 and 11, 2005: Kids in Crisis - If Worse Comes to Worse. Learn about resource and support available if your child is out of control.
