“Lead…Inspire…Develop”
The Community NETwork, (CNAATP), a 501c3 organization, will host our Annual “Evening of Excellence” Banquet fundraiser on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. The banquet fundraiser will be held at the Barrister Gardens in St. Clair Shores, MI. All proceeds will go to the United Negro College Fund and the Robert Hurst Scholarship Fund; which awarded four recipients in May of 2011. Robert Leslie Hurst III was born into a well-to-do family. His father, Robert Hurst II, rose from sales manager to become president of Michigan Bell and then president of Ameritech Network Services. He was a trailblazer, the first African-American head of a local company as big and prominent as Michigan Bell. His father’s work ethic and sense of personal responsibility left a big imprint on Hurst, who says the clarity of his music and his life choices relate to values nurtured by his parents. Our theme this year is Lead…Inspire…Develop.

Community NETwork’s membership is comprised of active and retired employees within the AT&T family of companies, seeking to accomplish the following objectives:
•Assist worthy public organizations in our communities
•Assist the under privileged in employment opportunities, and
•Assist employees of AT&T based upon their specific needs.

We are excited to extend an invitation to you, leaders and residents of the community, to attend and/or support our event. We are requesting your presence on the night of the event and if your schedule does not permit, please support through monetary donations and in-kind donations. The banquet dinner tickets are $50 per person or you may purchase a table for $400. Please consider partnering with us to reach our fundraising goal of $10,000. Reaching this goal will allow us to increase the number of scholarships awarded to deserving students in the communities in which we live and work.
Your participation will enrich the lives of youth in pursuit of higher education and ensure the 2011 banquet fundraiser is a memorable event.

For additional information or to purchase your ticket(s), please contact Sharman Bufkin at (313) 223-2089, e-mail sb1493@att.com, or website CNAATP. We look forward to a rewarding relationship; together we have the ability to enrich the lives of our youth!

In Partnership,
Sharman Bufkin, Scholarship Director
