The Chicago office of Facing History and Ourselves, in partnership with The Allstate Foundation, is proud to present an evening of commentary by Wes Moore, author of New York Times bestseller: The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates (Spiegel & Grau, 2010). This free program takes place at the Thorne Auditorium at Northwestern University, 375 E. Chicago Avenue, Wednesday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m.

Wes Moore, youth advocate and decorated combat veteran, will discuss the importance of public service; focusing on the education and mentoring of American youth that encourages kids to enact positive change. His book, “The Other Wes Moore,” depicts the lives of two men who share the same name – one becomes a Rhodes Scholar and White House Fellow while the other faces a life sentence in prison for murder. Through this story Moore shares his own commanding story of resilience.
