A grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation is helping people in the East Valley. This community based program is for women 40 years of age and older who have not had a mammogram within the last 12 months and do not have insurance. This grant will also cover men that have a concern. However, men are not required to attend the clinic and there is not an age requirement for them. If there are men that have a concern or would like to be screened, they are welcome to come.
You are required to call and sign up for the clinic as well as register as a patient. On the day of the clinic, patients will receive breast health education, a breast exam by a Medical Doctor and financial screening and/or access to other discount health programs. Patients will receive a written physicians order so they may come to the hospital and have their Mammogram done for FREE. If following the initial mammogram you need additional testing, we will cover those costs as well. If a women or man is diagnosed with breast cancer, we can help with treatment costs as well as we also have additional funding from Susan G. Komen for treatment.
For those women that are under 40 years of age that have found a lump and/or have a concern, or family history of breast cancer, we have another grant from a private donor in the East Valley, and we can see those women as well.
