Building and shaping the tools for supporting our social change efforts
So often, we don’t hear about interesting events and projects in our city until after the fact — if at all.
There are a wide range of mostly disconnected channels of communication being used by individuals and groups working on social change efforts in the Calgary area.
This working meeting is being called to explore what is currently in place, what is missing, and how we can better coordinate our communication and make other improvements.
In specific, we’ll look at:
• Email lists
• Websites
• Online calendars
• Newsletters (online and print)
WHAT TO BRING
• Info about the tools you are currently using.
• Ideas.
• Willingness to make some sort of contribution — big or small — to make this happen (time, effort, promotion, resources, etc.).
Some of the resources already in place:
• Activist Network
• Calgary Social Change on Facebook
• Upcoming Calendar
• Calgary Activist Announce email list (which is replacing the calg-announce@list.wayground.ca email list).
