The Middletown's Common Ground International Film Festival (September 24th-November 5th) continues with a screening of "Dance Me Outside" and 4 short films by local Native American directors.
Synopsis:
"Adam Beach stars as Frank Fencepost, an ambitious, young Canadian Indian reservation resident whose life is turned upside down when he becomes embroiled in a murder mystery involving a young girl. Based on a collection of short stories by acclaimed author W.P. Kinsella, director Bruce McDonald's quirky drama highlights life on an Indian reservation and life in the outside world. Jennifer Podemski and Ryan Black co-star."

Each screening begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. and is followed by a scholarly discussion of the film’s cultural and societal themes. The venues are handicapped accessible and offer plenty of free parking. All events are free and refreshments reflecting each film’s heritage will be served.
