ComedySportz is fast-paced, family-friendly improvisational comedy, played as a sport. Two teams of four players take turns making up scenes, playing games and singing songs - and the audience votes on which team they like the best. It's all presided over by a referee, who keeps things moving, calls the ComedySportz fouls and takes suggestions shouted out by the audience before each game.

This was an astonishingly good show. First time at Passim - didn't like the space until Po Girl started to play, and I realized the venue acoustics were fantastic. Almost as good as the old House of Blues. It's four women and a drummer guy - they are all so visually interesting, so clearly in love with what they're doing. They pulled out a new instrument every song, and I will always be sure to see them when they pass through town.
