ComedySportz is fast-paced, family-friendly improv comedy, played as a sport. Two teams take turns performing games, songs, or scenes – and the audience votes on which team they like the best. It's run by a referee, who keeps things moving, calls the ComedySportz fouls and takes suggestions from the crowd before each game.

Finally, a show just for kids!
It's ComedySportz 4 Kidz. We focus the games and suggestions on the 12-and-under crowd; Boys and Girls, Ages 4 and up. We use LOTS of audience volunteers and have a great time. ComedySportz 4 Kidz is PERFECT for birthday parties, sports team events, or any kid get-together you can think of. Adults will have fun, too. Guaranteed. It's the perfect way to entertain one to 84 kids on a Saturday afternoon.

The ComedySportz 4 Kidz show runs the same length as our regular ComedySportz show, without a halftime, but afterwards players mingle with the fans. Don't worry – kids are still more than welcome at our regular ComedySportz shows, but this one is all about them.

EVERY SATURDAY @ 5:00PM

Hey Bork,

Where did you hear it announced? I didnt see anything on the wordcamp site.

hober

I would recommend against staying a few doors down if coming from out of town.

Four-Oh

I spoke with Matt (Mullenweg) a few days ago and he confirmed it'll be at the hall.

BTW, I plan to bring a video camera and my podcasting gear. I'll be /blogging and podcasting from the hotel, but the video will have to wait until I get back home before I can edit and post anything.

I don't suppose this is the official RSVP list, then? ;)

Guderian

The Wordpress Podcast is asking for an update on the event... perhaps we'll get one soon.

glenda

The first day is for bloggers/podcasters/vloggers, and the Sunday is for WordPress developers.

I'm watching Matt cut-up the mockup for the WordCamp site as I type.

Depending on sponsorships for the event, it may run $10-$30 this year.

quepol

the site looks great, btw.

Updated with new details. I was there last year and I'd say it's definitely worth the $25 admission charge (heck - even if it's just for the tasty BBQ!).

Looking forward to some great sessions, especially on day 2 with the developer focus.

Does anyone know if there's much room/intention of birds of a feather/impromptu sessions like previously?

Tickets purchased!

I set up a wiki page for organizing things peripheral to the event, as well as allowing anyone to suggest dining options, accommodations, etc.

See everyone there!

Does anyone know of any "after parties" that I should jot down?

natashatr

Gosh,

So much for my event reminder for this. I see the sign-up list is full. So like Colin, if anyone knows of an "after party" let me know. Thanks!

natashar, live from the first panel, they just said the after party is at 7:30PM, two doors down from the hall. ^_^

Great event. First day concerned useing Wordpress. Second Day dealt with developing Wordpress. All sessions where interesting, informative, enjoyable, etc. Flew down from Seattle and of course did the reverse after the conference.
