The King is back and he's not taking prisoners. Paul Mooney, one of the most dangerous and brilliant comic minds of our time makes his first appearance of the year at the DC Improv.

Many know Paul as the head writer for legends like Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx and Eddie Murphy. But many people don't know that Paul was a head writer on the shows "In Living Color" (he created 'Homie, The Clown') and Saturday Night Live where he wrote Chevy Chase's famous word association skit. He was also the head writer on "The Richard Pryor Show", "Good Times" and "Sanford and Son" and has made appearances in Robert Townsend's "Hollywood Shuffle", "Bustin Loose" and most recently stole the show from everybody in Spike Lee's "Bamboozled". You can catch him on the E! Entertainment Channel in addition to Comedy Central.

I saw him when he came to town last time. He was funny, but be aware that most of the material was old. Most of it was from his race cd. Funny, but I was hoping for a lot more new material.
