Comedian Frank Caliendo from MadTV and NFL Sunday April 6, 2006

A stand-up comedian from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Frank Caliendo made his network series debut on the sketch comedy series "Hype."

Born outside of Chicago and raised in Waukesha, a Milwaukee suburb, Caliendo majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After college, he began performing stand-up comedy, taking a job as an emcee at a local comedy club. Within a year he was headlining.

Caliendo found his niche performing on the college comedy circuit. Over the past few years, he has performed at over 300 universities and was nominated for College Comedian and Entertainer of the Year by the National Association of Campus Activities.

Caliendo has performed stand-up on such series as cable s "Premium Blend," "The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn," "The View," and "Late Night with Conan O Brien." His signature 'John Madden' impression is frequently seen on The Fox NFL Pre-Game Show, "The Best Damn Sports Show" and "Mohr Sports."
