Play is the work of the child and it provides them with opportunities to practice many important developmental skills, like language and social interactions. In this series, parents and caregivers will learn about the relationship between the development of language and play, important developmental milestones and practical strategies designed to support both play and language development in young children (18 months to 4 years). The 4-week series will explore topics of how language and play develop, how adults can support language development through play, how to use games and toys to promote language development, and how to make play and language work together.
