Come Join us for our First Store Anniversary & Fourth of July Celebration

July Fourth 2008 is officially the first day we opened our doors.

And here it is one year later that we stand as proud members of the Sopchoppy community. During this past year we have taken on an ever changing look maintaining the newness and uniqueness that we strive for and have continually grown and presented an array of special events since then.

As a music and art forum we currently represent close to 50 artists and crafts people with more arrivals already scheduled. And have had a vast array of musicians jam and perform here. We have likewise been involved in the support of the community and a variety of charitable endeavors.

We have many exciting special events scheduled on the horizon and have many new items displayed.

On Saturday July Fourth we will be open from 11 am to 11 pm.

We will be having music by Frank Lindamood and friends between noon and 3 pm. Other musicians are welcome too.

Gina Lee will have a table set up outside with her assorted gourmet sauces to sample and buy and Kelly Boxberger will also have a table outside with her handmade jewelry and wares… A third vendor is pending and TBA.

We will have cold beverages, coffee and tea, hot popcorn, our dangerously delicious desserts that we are superbly noted for, and a light fare offered as well. Sit and play some games...on each table we have set various games out such as cards, dominoes, chess, checkers, uno etc...These will always be avaialvb for your pleasure...
We will have a free business card drawing and a 50/50 drawing etc.

The parade will begin at 4 PM and the City park gates will open at 5 pm with music, food, vendors and followed fireworks…

Please remember we are open until 11 pm so do come back and join us…

Our free CD Library is up and running enabling folks the opportunity to come by and listen to an assortment of music from approx 200 CD’s, while sipping on a cool beverage and enjoying our light fare such as croissant sandwiches, goats cheese platters, salad, desserts and much more…

We will have some heavenly desserts on July 4th such as our fresh fruit cup comprised of layers of fresh cut strawberries, blackberries and mandarin oranges topped with a swirl of whip cream, Key Lime Pie, NY style cheese cake, an Italian Rum Crème Cake and a signature Italian Zuppa Cake.

We will be offering our Goats cheese platter for two which includes a hearty sized bowl of soft goats cheese spread, and a bowl of Tabouli (cracked wheat salad—our own recipe) a sprig of grapes, stuffed grape leaves and homemade bread featuring our own blend of herbal seasonings.

Additionally we will have our Vegetarian and Meat Lovers delight of Croissant Sandwiches and more…

We would also like to note that we are your local Blues Society and work on an international realm. A small segment of the Paul Butterfield Fund and Society (PBFS) Educational Archival Exhibit is permanently housed at Butterfield’s Roadhouse (the music forum section within The Frog and Hummingbird Co & Butterfield’s Roadhouse) Membership to the society starts as low as $15 per year and goes a long way to help many great projects and causes.

As part of the Fund and Society one of our signature projects is the PBFS Special Care Package for Struggling Artists and we send these packages filled with love out nationwide. We will soon be setting up a collection box here for donations for these care packages. Donations of items can be such as new clothing, food items preferably items not in large cans as they are often heavy for shipping but rice, pasta, spices, sugar, honey, cookies, cereal, soups in cartons, etc, makeup, body care products, first aid, toys, pet items, gift items, CD’s, vitamins and supplements, paper products etc… anything that will lift the spirits of those enduring hardships…

We will also in the near future be setting up a collection box for various needs for CHAT Wakulla’s local animal shelter. Such things as new towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, pet food etc can be dropped off. You can go onto their site to learn more about their specific needs and wish list.

Please remember that we host regularly scheduled music jams the second and fourth week of each month…The Second and Fourth Thursday we host Blues Jams and the Second and Fourth Friday we host Acoustic jams.

We also present special performances from both national and local acts, feature film fests, and host fundraisers and benefits.

Also if you have a special affair such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday party, a workshop or presentation etc think about holding here, let us coordinate it…we can provide catering, music, décor, etc in a down home setting…

We have many surprises and improvements planned and thank you for being with us during our birthing stages…

We hope to see you for our first Store Anniversary and Fourth of July Celebration…

With warmth,
Salli Squitieri and Gabriel Butterfield
