Columbus Jazz History June 30, 2009

This course will lead participants through an in-depth survey of Columbus and Ohio musicians, their impact on music locally and nationally, and their travels to audiences across the globe. Audio and visual examples will feature the work of Sammy Stewart, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Rusty "Night Train" Bryant, Hank Marr, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Floyd, Madam Rose Brown, John Williams, film collector John Baker and others. Guest musicians will also be invited to participate.
