Wally’s Cafe” is a rollicking comedy about a wise-cracking but loving young couple from New Jersey who have big plans when they open a cafe in the middle of the California desert. Their first customer is a pretty, young and naive small town girl from Illinois on her way to Hollywood to become a star. However, she stays on as a waitress throughout the following 40 years. Sam Bobrick an American author, playwright, and screenwriter. He began his career writing for television with his first important job being writing for Captain Kangaroo. He went on to write for the television programs The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, The Flintstones, Get Smart, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour among others. For his work he has won three Writers Guild of America Awards and received nominations for the Emmy Award and the Ovation Award.
Ron Clark an American playwright and screenwriter is best known for co-writing screenplays for the films Silent Movie, High Anxiety, and Life Stinks with Mel Brooks. He began writing plays in the 1970s with fellow writer Sam Bobrick. Their first play, Norman, Is That You?, premiered on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre on February 19, 1970. The two men went on to write several more Broadway plays together, including No Hard Feelings and Murder at the Howard Johnson's.
