Colorado Music Festival presents Peter Serkin in the Brahms Festival July 11, 2010

The CMF Orchestra, conducted by Michael Christie, kicks off the Brahms Mini-Festival with internationally-known concert pianist Peter Serkin and Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1. The New York Times claims that Serkin’s approach to Brahms “magnifies both the work’s quiet introspection and its extroverted grandeur.” Also on the program is Serenade No. 1, in D.
