There aren't that many places where you can find all of these folks in one place. But the last weekend in August, you'll find them all in Colorado Springs.

Plus, if that's still too tame for your tastes, you can join the El Paso County Dems for dinner that weekend to hear Al Sharpton -- an event that's already sparked a controversy statewide.

As summer comes to a close and Democrats start to focus on the fall election on Referenda C&D, take time August 26-28 to recharge your batteries at the Colorado Democratic Party's "Democratic Summit 2005"!

We'll have a little something for everybody. Friday night will be a relaxing opportunity to meet and greet fellow Democrats at a reception sponsored by the CDP. Saturday morning will be filled with a choice of training sessions on anything from better use of the media to fundraising. Then, we'll move on to a discussion of various issues, from rural issues to national security.

Saturday afternoon, join the State Central Committee for our Fall meeting, as we re-tool much of the State Party Rules and Bylaws. Then, feel free to join the El Paso County Democrats that evening for their fundraising dinner with Rev. Al Sharpton.

Sunday, we'll have more issues discussions, rounded out by campaign training on Referenda C&D and a Q&A session with your State Party officers.

Whether you want to discuss issues, strategy, or just hear some great Democratic speakers, Colorado Springs will be the place to be at the end of August!

The best part? The State Party events on Saturday and Sunday are free! (We may have to charge for breakfast and lunch, at cost.) We want as many people as possible to make the trek to Colorado Springs for this truly inspiring weekend.

All events will be held at the Colorado Springs Sheraton, in South Colorado Springs. The CDP has negotiated a special room rate of $99 per night. To make reservations at the hotel, call 719-576-5900 and tell them you're with the Colorado Democratic Party event in order to get the special rate.
