Come to the Blackhawk Museum of Friday, July 9th for the first ever Collector Car Appreciation Day. There will be a Docent led tour of the Museum and people are invited to bring their favorite classics and park on the Plaza in front of the Museum.
If you haven't heard of Classic Car Appreciation Day, here are the details: Senate Resolution 513, passed in May, is meant to recognize the economic and cultural impact that collecting cars has on American society. It was the work of the Specialty Equipment Market Association, which puts on the SEMA show, and the Automotive Restoration Market Organization Council. The resolution was the result of a nonpartisan, informal group called the Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus and was sponsored by Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.).
