Some artifacts require extensive cleaning and repair; other objects just need new boxes to keep them in good condition. Conservation research can help provide the museum with new information about an object's materials, technology, origin and history. In this exhibit, you will see objects that have been conserved by Buffalo State College Art Conservation Department students and alumni. Because the responsibility for taking care of collections is ongoing, you will also see photographs of work-in-progress, as well as conservation projects set aside for future Art Conservation students.
